【General Reading Mindset (1–15)】

  1. Yijing is a mirror, not a prediction machine.

  2. Every hexagram describes a process, not a fixed fate.

  3. The position of the changing lines matters more than the hexagram name.

  4. Read the hexagram as a story with six stages.

  5. Don’t ask the same question repeatedly within 24 hours.

  6. Keep the question focused, not vague.

  7. Don't ask “yes/no”—ask for direction.

【Interpreting Hexagrams (16–35)】

  1. The upper trigram = environment.

  2. The lower trigram = internal condition.

  3. Yin = yielding, patience; Yang = action, force.

  4. Hexagram 1 (乾) = pure action, but with discipline.

  5. Hexagram 2 (坤) = receiving, supporting, adapting.

  6. Hexagram 3 (屯) = new beginnings need patience.
